Killer Cast is a murder mystery party game. We collect only what we need to run your party, and we delete it on a schedule. The short version: selfies are deleted right after the portrait is made, party data is deleted after 90 days unless the host chooses to keep it, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.

What we collect

  • Hosts: email address (for receipts and your sign-in link), payment status from Stripe (we never see card numbers), and the party details you enter.
  • Guests: the name, optional pronouns, fun fact and “please avoid” note the host types; whether an invite was opened; and, only if the guest chooses, a selfie and the consent and 18+ confirmation that go with it.
  • Waitlist: email, the month you plan to party and your rough guest count.
  • Usage: privacy-friendly product analytics (pages viewed and key steps such as “preview created”) and error reports so we can fix bugs.

How we use it

  • To write your custom case. Guest details are sent to our AI providers to generate characters. We tell them to use fun facts lightly and kindly, and we automatically drop anything that touches health, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, bodies, money troubles or exes, even if it was typed in.
  • To draw illustrated portraits from selfies (with consent) or from simple look choices. We never make photoreal images or celebrity lookalikes, and we never clone anyone’s voice.
  • To send receipts, sign-in links and one review request after the party.

Selfies

Selfies are optional and limited to guests who confirm they are 18 or older. They are stored in a private bucket only long enough to make the portrait, then deleted. Family mode turns photos off entirely.

Retention and deletion

Portraits and party data are deleted 90 days after the party unless the host saves them. Hosts can delete a party at any time from the dashboard. Anyone can ask us to delete their data by emailing hello@playkillercast.com.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run the product for us: hosting (Vercel), database and storage (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email (Resend), AI (Anthropic and Google), analytics (PostHog), error monitoring (Sentry) and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). We don’t sell personal data and we don’t use your photos or party content to train AI models.
